Confident Parent Abroad – Group Course

An antenatal course in English for expat parents in Greece, with a small group and postnatal support

Service Description

Evidence-based birth and early parenthood preparation, designed around the Greek system This is more than an antenatal course. It is a small group where you can get clear information, ask all your questions, and prepare with other parents for birth and early parenthood in Greece. Whether this is your first baby or you are growing your family, this course is for expats who want: - clear, evidence-based information (not horror stories or random opinions) - a real understanding of how birth and hospitals work in Greece - space to ask the questions you have been saving up - other parents at the same stage, who understand what it is like to do this far from home This course is for you if you have ever thought: "I do not really understand how birth works here." "Everyone says something different and I am overwhelmed." "I want to feel more in control and less stressed." "I wish I knew my options, not just what my doctor prefers." "I would love to meet other parents in a similar situation." What we will explore together - Labour and birth in the Greek context: how labour unfolds, pain relief, interventions, induction and caesarean, so that you feel prepared for what is ahead - Your rights and options: how to ask questions, make decisions and share your wishes with your care provider, so that you feel confident speaking up - The partner's role: practical ways they can support the pregnant person before, during and after birth, so that they feel involved rather than on the sidelines - The early weeks: what they are really like, and how to protect your rest, mental health and relationship - Feeding your baby: breastfeeding, bottle-feeding and mixed feeding, with evidence-based guidance and zero judgement - Becoming parents: expectations versus reality, and the emotions that come with finding your new normal There is plenty of time in every session to ask questions, share worries and learn from each other. What makes this course different? - Designed for expats in Greece. We talk about this system, these hospitals, and what they mean for you. - Small, friendly groups. You actually get to know each other, and it feels safe to share. - Partners are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join every session. -Support continues after the birth. Support includes a postnatal check-in call and messaging support for 6 weeks, so you have someone to turn to in those first weeks. The details Dates: see below Format: live online sessions on Zoom

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy Your session time is reserved just for you. As a one-woman practice with a limited number of 1:1 spaces, late cancellations mean I often can’t offer that time to another parent who may be waiting. – If you cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your session, you can choose a full refund or a new time. – If you cancel 24–48 hours before, your payment is non-refundable, but you can reschedule your session once at no extra cost. – If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend the session, the fee is non-refundable and rescheduling will require a new booking. I know pregnancy and postpartum can be unpredictable. If you go into labour or have a genuine emergency (e.g. you or your baby are admitted to hospital), just let me know when you can and we will reschedule your session without any penalty. Thank you for being considerate of my time and of other parents who may be waiting for support!
